Memorial Day
"Freedom, does not come free." I'm not sure who to quote for this statement above; nonetheless, this past week at my town's Memorial Day parade, I was over come with emotion when I saw the veterans who have bravely fought for me to remain free. I could never thank them enough. As I watched a Boy Scout troop of about 25 to 30 boys, the above statement became even more evident to me. Each boy was carrying an American flag, folded in the honorary triangle fashion (meaning behind the folds), attached with a fallen soldier's name. Maybe it's with age, that I've come realize how lucky I am to be an American. As I get older, perhaps, I am more able to recognize and appreciate all of the individuals and their struggles that have come before me. All of which have allowed for me to have the freedoms, I so often take for granted on a daily basis. I am eternally grateful to all our military men and women for their service. Especially...
