I'm still in a California state of mind.  After a trip, I love reviewing the images that I've brought home with me.  Over the last week I've been narrowing them down to my favorites.  Sometimes I get lucky and I find that I am more pleased with them now, then I was in the moment when they were created.  For most of the images from this series I chose to process them with a more painterly look.

     There are a few San Francisco scenes in the city as well as on the beach.  While the rest were captured along the American River where it runs near Sacramento and Folsom CA.  I was most impressed with the bike trail system they had along the river.  It was so picturesque and peaceful.  I'd ride my bike everywhere if I lived near it.  Especially to the impressive culinary treasures we found along the way.  In Old Fair Oaks, CA you can get a Peanut Butter Shake that's to die for or their famous Nutburger, at the Sunflower Drive In .   However, if vegetarian is not your thing you can head up to Folsom, CA and get a delicious burger at Hampton's on Sutters or down the road from there you can enjoy a gourmet pizza at Pizzeria Classico.  Either way you can't go wrong.  I'm just sad our time was so short in CA.  There were plenty of other eateries I'd like to explore.  I guess I'll just have to go back.  :)
