Pecan Pie
I decided to make the Pecan Pie for my Dad's family because I knew my Dad enjoyed pecan ice cream. Kelly, the friend who gave me the recipe, said it was one of her favorites, especially when the pie was warmed and paired with ice cream. So I thought this dessert would be a perfect alternative to pecan ice cream for my dad. It turned out I was right. He ended up indulging in two slices! Pecan Pie (by Kelly Mabe) Ingredients: 3 eggs, 1/4 C melted butter, 1 C dark corn syrup, 1/2 C brown sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 C pecan halves Instructions: 1. Beat eggs 2. Beat in sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and butter 3. Mix well 4. Add pecans 5. Pour mixture into pie shell (I used a Pillsbury ready made frozen pie crust) 6. Bake at 350* for 45-50 minutes 7. Cool before cutting Enjoy!
